Drawing tools
Every drawing tool in the terminal: what it marks, how to place its anchors and how to read the result.
Lines & levelsHorizontal Line
Marks a price across the chart.
How to use
- Choose the tool and click the required price.
- Drag the line to adjust the level; use the magnet for an OHLC anchor.
Interpretation limits
A marked level is not an order or a guaranteed barrier.
Lines & levelsVertical Line
Marks a moment in chart history.
How to use
- Click at the required time.
- Move the line horizontally to compare the bars before and after an event.
Interpretation limits
The line marks time, not a price range or a trading expiry.
Lines & levelsTrend Line
Connects two price and time anchors with a segment.
How to use
- Press at the first pivot, drag to the second and release.
- Move either handle to refine the slope.
Interpretation limits
Two chosen pivots describe your markup; they do not confirm a trend by themselves.
Lines & levelsRay
Extends a direction beyond the second anchor.
How to use
- Drag from the starting point toward the second pivot.
- The ray continues in that direction.
Interpretation limits
The projected segment is a geometric continuation, not a price forecast.
Lines & levelsHorizontal Ray
Marks a price from a chosen time to the right.
How to use
- Click where the level begins.
- Move its anchor to change the starting time and price.
Interpretation limits
Unlike a full horizontal line, earlier chart history is not covered.
Lines & levelsCross Line
Places a horizontal and a vertical reference through one anchor.
How to use
- Click the event you want to mark.
- Move the intersection to update both coordinates together.
Interpretation limits
This is a saved drawing, separate from the moving chart crosshair.
Notes & markersCrosshair Marker
Leaves a fixed crosshair marker at a chosen point.
How to use
- Click a bar and price you want to revisit.
- Select and drag the marker when reviewing the chart.
Interpretation limits
A fixed marker does not track the live pointer or execute an action.
Notes & markersArrow
Highlights a direction or points at a chart event.
How to use
- Drag from the tail to the arrow tip.
- Use it to point at a breakout bar or an annotated area.
Interpretation limits
The arrow expresses your observation, not an automated signal.
ShapesRectangle
Highlights a zone bounded by two prices and two times.
How to use
- Drag between opposite corners.
- Set a light fill so candles remain readable inside the zone.
Interpretation limits
A zone is a selected area, not evidence of resting orders.
ShapesEllipse
Circles a local cluster of bars or an unusual move.
How to use
- Drag across the bounding box around the bars of interest.
- Adjust its handles to resize the ellipse.
Interpretation limits
Its outline is a visual annotation, not a calculated market boundary.
ShapesTriangle
Draws a filled shape using three selected vertices.
How to use
- Click each of the three corners in order.
- Move vertices to frame the area you want to highlight.
Interpretation limits
A geometric triangle is different from confirmation of a triangle price pattern.
ShapesFreehand
Records the path of your pointer as a freehand stroke.
How to use
- Press and draw continuously, then release to finish.
- Use a short stroke to circle or underline a detail.
Interpretation limits
Freehand strokes are imprecise; use anchored lines for exact levels.
ShapesPolyline
Connects a sequence of manually selected points.
How to use
- Click each turning point.
- Double-click to finish; Enter or Escape can also finish an open polyline.
Interpretation limits
It follows selected pivots and does not automatically detect swings.
ShapesArc
Adds a curved annotation between two anchors.
How to use
- Drag between the ends of the area you want to arc over.
- Reposition the anchors to change its span.
Interpretation limits
The curvature is illustrative and does not fit a price cycle.
ShapesFlat Top / Bottom
Frames a horizontal price band between the anchor prices.
How to use
- Drag diagonally across the range.
- Keep the top and bottom aligned with the boundaries you want to compare.
Interpretation limits
The band is manually chosen; it does not identify a consolidation automatically.
ChannelsChannel
Draws parallel boundaries around a selected direction.
How to use
- Click two anchors for the base direction and a third for the channel width.
- Adjust the third point to compare the opposite boundary.
Interpretation limits
Channel width depends on the selected pivots and is not a volatility estimate.
ChannelsParallel Channel
Creates an equidistant channel from a baseline and an offset.
How to use
- Click the beginning and end of the baseline, then a third point for the offset.
- Compare touches on both boundaries.
Interpretation limits
Parallel edges do not guarantee that the next bar will stay inside.
ChannelsAndrews’ Pitchfork
Builds a median line and two parallel outer lines from three pivots.
How to use
- Click the origin, then two later opposing pivots.
- The median points from the origin toward the midpoint of the other two anchors.
Interpretation limits
Changing any pivot changes the whole construction; the median is not a target guarantee.
ChannelsRegression Trend
Fits a regression line to bars within the selected time span.
How to use
- Drag across the start and end of the interval.
- The fit follows the bars in that interval rather than simply connecting the two clicked prices.
Interpretation limits
The result depends on the interval and available bars; deviation rails are not a forecast confidence interval.
Fibonacci & GannFibonacci Retracement
Divides a selected price move into proportional retracement levels.
How to use
- Drag from the beginning of a move to its end.
- Check the anchor direction and read each labeled ratio against the original move.
Interpretation limits
Ratios describe geometry; reaching a level does not confirm a reversal.
Fibonacci & GannFibonacci Extension
Projects proportional levels using a move and a retracement anchor.
How to use
- Click the move start, its end and the retracement point.
- Compare the projected levels after checking all three anchors.
Interpretation limits
Projected levels are references, not expected returns or guaranteed exits.
Fibonacci & GannFibonacci Fan
Draws ratio-based rays from the beginning of a selected move.
How to use
- Drag across the move to establish the origin and range.
- Read the fan as sloped reference lines.
Interpretation limits
The appearance changes with chart scaling; ray touches alone are not entry rules.
Fibonacci & GannFibonacci Time Zones
Projects vertical time references from a selected base interval.
How to use
- Drag between two time anchors.
- Compare subsequent vertical zones with the original interval.
Interpretation limits
Time zones do not forecast a price direction or a precise event.
Fibonacci & GannFibonacci Circles
Draws concentric ratio-based rings around an anchor.
How to use
- Drag from the center to set the base radius.
- Use the rings as a visual comparison of distance from the origin.
Interpretation limits
Price and time use different units; zoom and scale affect the visual geometry.
Fibonacci & GannGann Fan
Draws a family of angle rays using two reference anchors.
How to use
- Drag from the origin to establish the reference direction.
- Keep scale settings consistent when comparing the rays.
Interpretation limits
An on-screen angle is not a universal price-to-time relationship.
Fibonacci & GannGann Box
Subdivides a selected time and price rectangle into a grid.
How to use
- Drag between opposite corners of the reference range.
- Compare price and time divisions within that box.
Interpretation limits
The divisions depend on your chosen box and do not prove market cycles.
Measurements & positionsPrice Range
Measures the absolute and percentage difference between two prices.
How to use
- Drag from the starting price to the final price.
- Read the signed price difference and percentage relative to the starting point.
Interpretation limits
Measured price change excludes position size, leverage, fees and execution.
Measurements & positionsDate Range
Measures a time span between two chart anchors.
How to use
- Drag from the first event to the second.
- Compare the displayed duration with the selected chart timeframe.
Interpretation limits
Elapsed time and the number of available bars can differ when history has gaps.
Measurements & positionsMeasure
Combines price change, percentage, bar count and duration.
How to use
- Drag diagonally across the move.
- Read both price and time measurements before comparing another interval.
Interpretation limits
Use the same timeframe for bar-count comparisons; this is not a trade profit calculation.
Measurements & positionsLong Position
Sketches entry, target and stop zones for a long idea.
1 — Entry · 2 — Target · 3 — Stop. This drawing does not place orders.
How to use
- Click entry first, target second and stop third.
- Check that the target is above entry and the stop below; adjust the handles.
Interpretation limits
This drawing does not open a position or place TP/SL orders. Geometric reward/risk excludes fees and slippage.
Measurements & positionsShort Position
Sketches entry, target and stop zones for a short idea.
1 — Entry · 2 — Target · 3 — Stop. This drawing does not place orders.
How to use
- Click entry first, target second and stop third.
- Check that the target is below entry and the stop above; adjust the handles.
Interpretation limits
A short-position drawing is an annotation and does not submit or protect an actual trade.
PatternsElliott Impulse Wave
Labels a manually selected five-point wave sequence.
How to use
- Click five successive turning points in their time order.
- Review the labels and reposition any incorrectly chosen pivot.
Interpretation limits
The tool provides markup; it does not validate Elliott wave rules or find waves automatically.
PatternsXABCD Pattern
Connects five pivots labeled X, A, B, C and D.
How to use
- Click X, A, B, C and D in order.
- Use separate measurements to review the proportions of the selected legs.
Interpretation limits
A drawn XABCD is not automatic recognition or confirmation of a harmonic pattern.
PatternsABCD Pattern
Connects four selected turning points in a labeled structure.
How to use
- Click A, B, C and D in chronological order.
- Compare the AB and CD legs and the intervening retracement.
Interpretation limits
Labels do not establish equal legs or a profitable completion point.
PatternsHead and Shoulders
Marks a five-pivot head-and-shoulders outline and neckline.
How to use
- Click the left shoulder, first trough, head, second trough and right shoulder.
- Check the neckline against the selected troughs.
Interpretation limits
The outline is manual and does not confirm a breakout or reversal.
PatternsTriangle Pattern
Draws a converging pair of reference lines using three anchors.
How to use
- Place the shared apex first, then the end of each boundary.
- Adjust the two boundaries around the selected highs and lows.
Interpretation limits
Unlike the filled triangle shape, this marks a proposed pattern; a breakout still requires separate observation.
Notes & markersText
Adds a free text note at a chart location.
How to use
- Click the anchor and enter your note.
- Use a short explanation of what you observed; edit the text when your interpretation changes.
Interpretation limits
Keep notes readable and avoid covering prices or candle details.
Notes & markersCallout
Links a text annotation to a chart point with a leader line.
How to use
- Drag between the marked point and the label position, then add the text.
- Leave space around the candle being explained.
Interpretation limits
Moving the label and moving the referenced point serve different purposes; check both anchors.
Notes & markersPrice Label
Displays the price at a selected anchor as a chart label.
How to use
- Click at the desired level.
- Reposition the anchor to update the price being labeled.
Interpretation limits
A label is a reference price, not a live quote widget or an execution confirmation.
